The S. M. Blair Family Foundation financially supports research and provides funding for charitable and educational purposes in Canada. It also encourages the training and development of Canadians in research.

We endeavor to:

• Balance funding between arts and social programs and scientific pursuits with both sectors including a significant component of educational initiatives.
• Participate in a wide range of projects.
• Make a significant contribution towards the success of smaller scale and early stage programs and initiatives.
• Participate in multi year commitments only with milestone evaluations and options to discontinue.
