mood: a playlist curated by Mystery-Bear

Mood is a series of playlists curated by local creatives to appease all of the feels, year round.

This week’s playlist was curated by Brent Hebert, aka Mystery-Bear, a Hamilton-based musician. Mystery-Bear is the drummer for London band Mountain of Wolves, and is currently working on a solo album to be released in 2021.

His playlist features a collection of songs to embrace the winter blues; spanning various genres and decades including indie rock, folk and electronic. It focuses on the “deeper” cuts from albums that are not necessarily hits but are just as important when it comes to embracing the winter blues and finding solace in our shared experience as Canadians braving another cold and dark winter.

This playlist features many local Canadian artists such as The Deep Dark Woods, Tribe called Red, Weaves, My Fathers Son, and Jadea Kelly.
