Join Artscape and Centennial College on Thursday, November 26, 10am-11:30am for “Immersed in Youth’s Stories of Toronto: The Power of Virtual Reality Storytelling”, a webinar examining the potential of virtual reality (VR) as a tool for storytelling and engaging youth. Building off the conclusion of a two-and-a-half joint research project that worked with young artists to develop two VR stories, this webinar will explore best practices, challenges and next steps for community-led VR projects, and culminates in the launch of our hands-on toolkits.

Kiduse “Ducey” Gezahegn, one of the project’s youth creators, will give an introduction before we break into smaller discussions. Choose to join one of three breakout groups to discuss a topic more in-depth:

  • The power of storytelling
  • Approaches to youth engagement
  • The practicality and accessibility of VR
