Over the last 30+ years, Artscape has evolved from a Toronto-based affordable artist studio provider to a global leader in creative place making, a practice that leverages arts and culture as a catalyst for community and urban development¹. Artscape is made up of a group of not-for-profit organizations with a mission to make space for creativity and transform communities. As part of fulfilling their mission and vision, Artscape manages Performance and Event Services and Venues as a social enterprise, among other initiatives.

Revenues from venue rentals help keep these venues and community hubs open to the public and accessible for the arts community, and indirectly supports the various tenant programming and services.

In keeping with their ethos, Artscape Performance and Event Venues includes in their event services a list of preferred vendors and caterers who are industry leaders, and whose mandate includes providing support to Artscape fundraisers and community programming. Many of their preferred caterers are active supporters of the arts – and are also going above and beyond to continue serving their communities during the pandemic.

A subsidiary of Food Dudes, Order Pantry offers a selection of healthy eats to go, with free delivery on orders of $75+. You can order food here, as well as join Order Pantry in their support of the Pay it Forward Program by donating a $10 meal to a healthcare professional.

Encore Catering – @encorecatering

Last week, Encore Catering donated 75 meals to the #healthcareheroes at St. Joe’s Hospital in Hamilton, and you can join in the support by donating a meal when you order your own food for contactless, free delivery via their website. Meals are donated weekly to different institutions and front line workers.

Provisions TO – @provisionsto

During the pandemic, Provisions will remain open to respond to event catering and event inquiries, but in the meantime are offering ProvisionsPREP , a curbside meal delivery platform of weekly rotating menus. All meal plans support a community of farmers, butchers, fishmongers, and other local small businesses. Provisions is donating one dollar ($1) of each item sold to their local food bank.
