Toronto Hydro Financial Assistance

Toronto Hydro offers a handful of financial assistance programs for those in need.  The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) offers a maximum grant of $500 per household per year for those that are struggling to pay past due bills or for those that have received disconnection notices. Other programs include the Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP), Home Assistance Program (HAP), and AffordAbility Fund. More information can be found here.

Telecommunication Providers Waiving Fees

Several telecommunication companies including Rogers and Bell will be waiving a number of additional usage fees starting March 16, 2020 with some, such as Telus, offering flexible payment options. TekSavvy has committed to stop charging overage fees until May 31, 2020.
