The Postmark Hotel invites an artist/artist team to create a permanent indoor artwork to be installed in the hotel’s rooftop restaurant.
The total budget for the project, including artist fees, materials, and installation is CAD $25,000 (plus HST).
The artist will be selected through a 2-stage competition. Through this open call, artists are invited to submit a portfolio of previous work. A longlist of artists will be selected by the hotel curator and an outside art expert. A shortlist of 3 artists will be selected by an internal panel including hotel ownership representatives and the hotel curator. The 3 shortlisted artists will be invited to prepare a detailed design and budget, for which they will receive compensation. The internal panel will select the artist for the commission.
