MOTHRA: Artist-Parent Project
Announcing a few spots left for our next artist-parent, child inclusive, residency at Artscape Gibraltar Point on Toronto Island.

Since 2018 MOTHRA has been organizing residencies for artists who are parents or carers of children. Artists attend the residencies with their child(ren) on idyllic Toronto Island. Accommodation and studio are provided at a subsidized rate.

MOTHRA is part of a world-wide network of artist parents who are making an art world that is child inclusive. We embrace parenthood/motherhood to explore how art is transformed when we acknowledge and value these relationships. Children are a valued and integral part of the project. Whether you are an artist parent who works like this or not this is an opportunity for you to think and work through these things with us.
