We are seeking submissions from textile-based artists and/or arts facilitators interested in sharing their textile-based art practice with our communities this season! Anything from punch needle embroidery, weaving, shibori and other dying practices, sashiko mending, quilting, needle felting, crocheting, macramé and more! We will use the applications from this Call for Artists to hire artists for ArtMEETS: Textile Edition, and TAPESTRY.

orkshops for both 2022 programs will need to be three hours in length, and have a low barrier to participation. ArtMEETS workshops will take place in-person at St. Matthew’s Clubhouse, 1-4pm on Saturday afternoons, and TAPESTRY workshops will take place online over Zoom every month for the course of six months from August – March 2023, (exact date each month TBD). For both programs, we are open to any type of textile-based artform, so long as it can be easily taught to interested participants, and it aligns with the program theme and purpose. This call is open to all arts facilitators who are new, emerging, experienced, and anywhere in between. Let your imaginations run wild, and propose a fun workshop that is both engaging and accessible for our community members.
