This spring Memorial University of Newfoundland is initiating a pilot legal street art wall and is inviting expressions of interest for the design and execution of temporary site-specific outdoor murals. Artist proposals should consider the historical significance of MUN, the St. John’s campus community, and its contemporary and emerging contexts.
Mural Artist(s) will be commissioned by a 3–5 member selection committee with connection to MUN community, as well as artistic expertise and cultural knowledge. Memorial is committed to equity in all aspects of its work, and invites mural proposals from all potentially interested artists, inclusive of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, religion, race, Indigenous status, ethnicity, mental and physical ability, housing status, place of origin, and age.
