Overview
The Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) Emerging is an immersive program that offers visual artists production facilities access, studio practice, and mentorship in the early stages of their careers.
BAiR Emerging combines the artistic freedom of a self-directed residency with the supportive benefits of an organized program. Artists benefit from having aspace to make, research, and experiment. Participants are a part of a community of emerging artists who are committed to developing and expanding their practice. Artists benefit from the insight they are provided by guest faculty through studio visits and lectures.
This program is intended for visual artists to cultivate new possibilities and directions in their work. Our knowledgeable staff are available to offer technical support, demonstrations, and provide access to a host of facilities including photography, sculpture, printmaking, papermaking, ceramics, fibre, and digital technology.
